Core Beliefs
The PTF is the primary change agent and the focus of the treatment process
The overall program is a change agent for youth and their families
Primary families are involved in the treatment process from the beginning and we arrange for supportive wrap around services when needed
All PTF’s will have computers by the time of their 1st placement and be able to utilize such to complete all required reports
Quality matches incorporating appropriate decision making processes between PTF’s and referred youth should be the norm
Staff and PTF’s persevere with our youth and primary families
All direct contact staff are teachers, coaches, mentors, counselors to those we serve – youth/PTF’s/PF’s
We recognize that the referral source is our customer and the youth and families we serve are our clients
There will be limited placements of 1-2 youth per PTF home excluding sibling groups
We have planned and measurable outcomes that are shared
Our services are time framed
We accentuate the positive, reward it, and document it in our ISP’s, case notes and monthly reports
We deal appropriately with the negatives
Some youth require residential placement but most youth, especially those in low end residential placements, could be better and more successfully served in treatment foster care
We are always available for our PTF’s and fellow staff
Quality training for all is required
We truly care about our staff, clients and customers
We value teamwork
Quality is overarching in everything we do
We share our talents with others on an ongoing basis
We are creative and out of the box thinkers and value/ accept change
We take all of our jobs very seriously
We despise paperwork but complete professionally what we are required to do
We openly and honestly share corporate and programmatic information with all
We are "can do" people not afraid of challenges
We are ever watchful for the signs of stress in ourselves and our colleagues (Because of the nature of the work we do)
Having fun at work is important to all aspects of what we do
Children are best served in a family
