WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A PHOENIX PROFESSIONAL FOSTER PARENT?
(Note: The requirements may vary to comply with state guidelines)
- Completion of application, criminal background check, abuse registry check, medical reports, and references.
- Completion of home assessments, fire/safety inspection, physical home check, water/sewage check, and completion of classes in CPR and First Aid.
- Proof of residence for the last five years.
- Married or single persons over the age of 21 who are emotionally and physically capable to cope with troubled youth.
- Complete initial foster parent training hours required. (At the present time that is 48 hours.)
- Physicals on all persons residing in your home.
